Horticulture lecturer Simon Penn ran an informative and interactive session as part of the Adult Learners Week celebrations, to mark this year’s Adult Learning campaign.  The taster session included a tour of the department and  facilities, both in the garden and outdoor learning areas and the recently refurbished indoor facilities and teaching room.  Following on from the tour and information session, students enjoyed participating in the “Have A Go” horticulture activities organised on the day, giving a hands-on opportunity to learn through participation.

As a result of the session one of the part time horticulture courses has now welcomed four new students to the course for this year and all look forward to a productive year ahead.
